2025

Greetings from Rocky Top

This year’s highlights include UTIA faculty hosting scientists from the Philippines and from across Africa through USDA training programs that focused on veterinary education and animal nutrition. Faculty and staff delegations have deepened collaborations in places such as Brazil, Colombia, and Kenya, while individual faculty have launched new programs near and far—from Guatemala to Japan.

Looking ahead, the Smith Center remains firmly committed to our mission of advancing global impact while enriching the UTIA community here at home. If you have a heart for growing engagement in international agriculture, natural resources, and veterinary medicine, please join us on this adventure! There are many ways in which you can invest your time, talents, and enthusiasm to help us expand the global reach of UTIA.
